The last remaining band has been added to the exciting Rugfest line up and we are delighted that the Beat Seeking Missiles will join us on saturday afternoon - The Missiles best described as Oxford’s new all star garage surf beat punk combo could be variously described as sounding like The Kinks, Link Wray, Bo Diddley, Sonics, Howlin Wolf, Pretty Things, Rolling Stones, The Who, Dick Dale, The Ventures, Bobby Fuller Four, Sex Pistols, The Damned, The Stooges, James Brown and Chuck Berry.

How to Sponsor Rugfest

Rugfest is quickly becoming a fixture on the Wallingford Calendar in a town already renowned for its great music events such as the Bunkfest and the Blues and Beers nights. In its inaugural year the event drew in over 2000 people and this year with extensive advertising and broader appeal is set for many, many more. The Festival we would hope you agree therefore represents a great opportunity for you to advertise and raise awareness of your business to a very broad audience indeed.

To find out how to get involved or become a sponsor please contact the Rugfest committee.

Wallingford RFC’s family friendly music festival

Rugfest, the beer and music festival organised by Wallingford Rugby Club, is back with an extended programme on 2 and 3 July 2010. New to this year’s event is the Friday evening session in addition to a full day’s line up on Saturday. Held at Hithercroft Sports Park in Wallingford as a fund raising event for Wallingford Rugby Club, the event is oriented to families with music and entertainment for all across the two sessions.

Three thousand beer and music fans

Thursday 17th June 2010 by Liam Sloan, Herald Series and Oxford Times

THREE thousand beer and music fans are expected to descend on Wallingford for the return of Rugfest from July 2-4. The festival, set up last year to raise money for Wallingford RFC, features 14 bands over two nights and more than 30 real ales on tap. Organisers have promised it will be bigger and better than last year’s festival, and have added an extra night on Friday alongside an all-day session on Saturday.
